The original kitchen had been extended but the units that had been put in, in the 90s were a dark wood. The kitchen felt very dark and small, although it had a glass door out to the garden and a huge window. We decided, as the extension had a pitched roof to remove the kitchen ceiling and put Velux windows into the pitched roof. This made a huge difference but we decided to add an extra window as well. To maximise the light coming in.
